Description
This is a southwest Indian style hand woven basket. This basket was made by the Tarahumara Indians using fibers from the yucca plant. This Native technique of basket making is generations old. Handed down from each passing generation the art is preserved.
The Hopi pueblo Indian baskets were famous for being woven so tightly that they could hold water. Native American baskets are popular for southwestern decorating as well as western decor. These traditional baskets are made by hand, artfully woven to form unique patterns.
Handwoven baskets are great for cabin, lodge, log home or special rustic or Native American room.
Measures approximately 6" diameter, 6.5" tall.
