This listing is for a beautiful southwestern day of the dead skull. Handcrafted in Mexico, these skulls are hand painted ceramic, one of the favorites among day of the dead memorabilia.
Each year on November 2nd, Mexican families celebrate their relatives who have passed, by visiting their graves with colorful decorations, food and drink. Skulls are used as traditional decorations to celebrate the day. This is a custom that began with the Aztecs using real skulls. Today, they are beautiful hand painted pottery art also used for southwest decor.
Measures approximately 3.5" wide, 4" long, and 3" tall.
