Description
This is a southwest Native American style hand woven basket. The native technique of basket weaving, using the coil method, is passed down from old to young. In this way, the art has been preserved thru each passing generation. The Hopi pueblo Indians were famous for baskets woven in this fashion that were so tight that they could hold water.
Native American baskets are popular for southwest and western decor. These traditional baskets are made by hand and artfully woven to form unique designs. Handwoven baskets are great for cabin, lodge or log home and rustic decorating. Also makes a wonderful gift.
