Description
This is a high-quality piece of authentic Native American, Navajo pottery. This unique piece of Indian pottery uses real horsehair during the firing process to create this rustic piece. The artist throws the pieces of horsehair onto the pottery, at just the right time, allowing it to stick and melt into the piece. This causes a permanent application of the horsehair to the pot and yields the famous look that collectors enjoy.
Each piece is unique; no two are exactly alike. This pottery piece is in the shape of a steer skull, created with the traditional clay pottery horsehair design, made famous by Native American potters. Intricate patterns are then hand etched without the use of patterns or templates. It becomes a perfect rustic home accent for southwest decor as well as a special gift.
Measures approximately 6". Actual skull is pictured.
