Each year on November 2nd, Mexican families celebrate the departed relatives by visiting their graves. They bring colorful decorations, food and drink. Skulls are used as traditional decorations to celebrate the day. This custom began with the Aztecs using real skulls. Today, they are beautiful hand painted pottery art also used for southwest decor.
