Description
This is a southwest Indian "style" hand woven basket. The Native American technique of basket making, using the coil method, is generations old. Handed down from each passing generation, the art is preserved.
The Hopi pueblo Indians were famous for baskets woven in this fashion that were so tight that they could hold water. Rustic baskets are popular for southwestern decorating as well as western decor. These traditional baskets are made by hand and artfully woven to form unique patterns. Handwoven baskets are great for cabin, lodge or your special rustic or Native American room. Also makes a wonderful gift.
Measures approximately 19.25" wide, 6.75" tall. Actual basket is shown.
