Hand woven wool southwestern Zapotec rugs are very special area rugs. Perfect for southwest style or western home decorating, this floor rug is great as a wall hanging too. Similar in design and weave to a Native American rugs by Navajo weavers, this was hand woven by the famous Zapotec Indians of Oaxaca in Southern Mexico, descendants of the ancient Aztecs.
The Zapotec designs and colors have been handed down for generations and each rug is a unique creation.
