This is an authentic Native American Navajo headdress. This decorative halo warbonnet style head dress is beautifully crafted with real feathers and coyote fur. Warbonnets are one of the most popular Native American icons from American Indian history. Used by various Plains Indian Tribes, the most notable being the Sioux, Crow, Blackfeet and Cheyenne. Native warbonnets often appear in historic photography as being reserved for formal occasions.
This halo style warbonnet has feathers that fan out around the head of the wearer creating the halo shape. This head dress was also created with soft deer skin leather and a coyote pelt with authentic coyote tails that forms the headband. The coyote pelt, along with the horse hair fringe, quill and plume feathers, add to the rich and vibrant look of the head dress. This beautifully handcrafted war bonnet headdress will look great on any wall for southwest, western, or cabin decor.
