Native American Navajo Horse Hair Wedding Vase 5.5" (p89)

This beautiful Navajo wedding vase is a one-of-a-kind piece of ceramic clay and is authentic Native American Navajo horse hair pottery. The interesting thing about horse hair pottery is that each piece is unique. The potter throws real horsehair on the clay during the firing process. It's a lot of work but the results are amazing. To further the one of a kind quality of the piece the artist also etches the clay by hand to add detail or American Indian symbols and designs from Native American culture. No two pieces are exactly alike.

This rustic Indian pottery is perfect for southwest decorating, home or cabin as well as a western accessory for southwestern style, cowboy or Indian theme home decor.
