Description
This wedding vase is a high-quality piece of authentic Native American, Navajo pottery.
This unique piece of Navajo Indian pottery uses real horsehair during the firing process to create this rustic vase. The artist throws the pieces of horsehair onto the pottery at just the right time to cause it to stick and melt into the piece. This causes a permanent application of the horsehair to the pot and yields the famous look that collectors enjoy. Each piece is unique, no two are exactly alike.
Navajo wedding vases are created or purchased by the parents of young people when they marry. Used during the wedding ceremony as a symbol of unity, the vase is a prized possession that the couple will keep their entire lives. This piece is perfect for any southwest style, western decor or cabin. It also makes a special gift.
Measures approximately 4.25" wide, 7.25" tall.
