Navajo Indian Etched Horse Hair Wedding Vase 5" (171bc36)

This high-quality piece is an authentic Native American, Navajo pottery wedding vase. This unique Navajo vase uses real horsehair during the firing process to decorate it.

The artist throws the pieces of horsehair onto the pottery, at just the right time, causing it to stick and melt into the hot clay. This causes a permanent application of the horsehair to the pot. The piece is also hand etched to yield the famous look that collectors enjoy.

This piece would be perfect for any southwest style, western decor or cabin. It would also make a special wedding gift.
