Description
This is an authentic southwest Native American pottery pillow vase which was made by hand.
Using natural clay and hand etched images, this lovely piece of art is made with traditional patterns and colors of the Navajo Indians. The Navajo tribe is famous for creating beautiful pottery that has been highly desired by collectors. The art of pottery making is passed down from each generation, with a rich heritage, from grandparents to grandchildren in the same family who want to see their traditional skills continued.
This piece is a traditional clay pottery horse hair design, made famous by Native American potters. Actual horse hair is applied to the pottery during firing and becomes a part of the piece. Intricate patterns are then hand etched without the use of patterns or templates. This is a perfect rustic home accent for southwest decor as well as a special gift.
Measures approximately 8.5" wide, 6.5" tall.
