This is a Navajo, Native American rawhide side bag. The Europeans called these types of bags parfleche or "par-flesh" because they were very unique bags made with stiff rawhide. This unique parfleche bag is a true one of a kind. Hand crafted with genuine rawhide, the side ties are soft deer skin leather. Beautifully hand painted, the traditional design reflects the concept of the ancient ones in Native culture making this authentic parfleche bag a real treasure. Measures 4.5" wide, 8" tall.
