Acoma Indian pottery wedding vase made by hand with natural clay and hand painted with a traditional design and colors of the Acoma Pueblo Indians.
The traditional wedding vase symbolizes the union of the man and woman with its two spouts. During the Native wedding ceremony, the couple will drink from the wedding vase at the same time.
The parents will provide the wedding vase, often at great expense or by making it themselves and offering it to the couple as an acknowledgment of their support of the marriage. The couple will keep the vase as a symbol of their commitment to each other.
Measures approximately 5" wide, 7.75" tall. Actual piece is shown.
