Similar to Native American rugs woven by the Navajo Indians, this is hand woven by the famous Zapotec Indians of Oaxaca in southern Mexico. They are the descendants of the ancient Aztecs. The Zapotec designs and colors have been handed down for generations, using natural hand ground dyes.
