Vintage Lakota Tomahawk & Shield 22" -Sioux (t22)

This is a very unique Native American Lakota vintage stone tomahawk and medicine shield. This old style Native made tomahawk and shield was handcrafted by made by the Sioux Indians and is adorned with hand stitched rawhide on the handle as well as weaving at the top that matches the shield.

The prayer shield is also hand woven with the same colors as the tomahawk and is tapered so that it is narrower at one end than the other and features trade beads and horse hair whips. Decorative leather fringe and colored horse hair finish the stone tomahawk. Perfect for pow wow regalia, dance or decoration, it is very well made and would look great as rustic home decor for southwest, Native American or western ranch or cabin. Measures 22", actual tomahawk is shown, one of a kind.
